Chat to HOP! Meet our ambassadors on the access platform.

The Access Platform is our website instant chat feature that helps connect students with our ambassadors. This feature allows students, teachers or parents to ask questions directly to our team and get a response within 24 hours. It’s very important for us at HOP to be able to communicate and connect with people even more so of with the impact COVID-19. We hope this feature will allow students particularly to get in touch regarding their future education and career so that we can give personal and relevant guidance. No question is a stupid question! Chat to HOP!

We have interviewed our ambassadors so you can get to know who you will be chatting to.

Where did you study at University and what degree do you have?

I studied at Hull University and have a BSc in Geography. I focused most of my studies around volcanology and flooding.

Why did you want to work for HOP?

To make a difference, specifically focusing on the local area as I love living here! It’s really important to me that everyone, no matter of their background, has access to and is aware of the options available to them after school/college. There are so many myths going around about higher education which just aren’t true. Deciding to go to university was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made but I don’t regret it one bit.

What do you like about working at HOP?

The variety, no day is ever the same! I love keeping busy getting to meet so many of the young people who live in the area.

What are you hoping the Access platform will achieve?

Having the access platform will allow individuals to ask specific questions which can be tricky to do when we engage with larger groups of students. Remember, there’s no such thing as a stupid question. Ask away!
